I removed the trailing slash, ran gpupdate on a computer, and the drive instantly appeared. A quick glance showed the functioning drives paths did *not* end with a trailing slash, but the failing drive mapping did (see following example). Hi everyone, We deployed Several drive via GPP. We’ve heard from users that they are facing intermittent issues with their mapped network drives. Before apply the security filtering, the first thing to make sure is group policy mapped correctly to the Site, Domain or OU. I searched online for this error and kept finding results where people were trying to get rid of existing mapped drives but were unable to. The machine tunnel opens access to the server itself, but the drive mapping GPO and Folder Path on the mapping are both based on the user. Type the following command to map a drive assigning drive letter manually and press Enter: net use Z: DEVICE-NAME-OR-IPSHARED-FOLDER. Search for Command Prompt and click the top result to open the console. I was recently adding an additional mapped drive to an existing GPO, but the drive would not appear no matter what changes I made to the various settings (Create/Replace/Update, adding a Delete first, setting this or all drives to show, etc).
